Liam is a 9 year old boy who came to Dynamic Learning & Listening Center with sensory integration issues
and auditory processing difficulties. His mother was concerned about Liam's lack of confidence expressing
himself and his unwillingness to engage with others.
The following are Mom's recorded observations throughout Liam's program:
After 2 sessions
"Liam has been using sentences in a more structured way and has been using bigger and
more complicated words to express his thoughts"
After 4 sessions
"The tics that Liam has had since he was a toddler: opening and closing his hands quickly, opening his
mouth and blinking his eyes- seem to be less evident lately"
After 5 sessions
"Liam has been very chatty lately talking to everyone he sees engaging in long conversations. This is something
I have not seen him do before"
After 10 sessions
"Liam seems to be more aware of what he's doing and the things happening around him. He's more willing to express
how he feels about things"
After 12 sessions
"Liam has been more attentive to things and is interacting more with friends"
After 13 sessions
"Liam is talking more and less inside himself- expressing his feelings and telling me why he cannot accomplish
certain tasks- before he would usually just get angry, upset, and frustrated."
After 14 sessions
"I received an unsolicited "I Love You" yesterday!"
"Sound stimulation therapy has given us pieces of our son we thought we might never experience. I wish all children with special needs could undergo this type of therapy so they can connect more fully with their parents - the way our son has with us."
